Photography has always been part of my life. My beloved art, my hobby, my passion.
The first Photography Course I took was in 2004, still in the analogue era, but after that I graduated and worked for several years in human resources management.
Later, in 2015, with the birth of my daughter Mariana, I finally returned to dedicate myself to my passion and took a new Professional Photography Course at Oficina da Imagem, in Lisbon. Therefore, I followed my dream of working as a full-time photographer, the art and career that has always fulfilled me. Because it is never too late to follow your dreams!
Caramello started to take shape due to my passion for photographing people and their connections.
Following my path through wedding reporting was the next step.
This would not have been possible without the unconditional support and commitment of my husband Pedro, who joined me as a second photographer, thus starting the Caramello dream. We photograph together, the same visual culture, the same way of telling stories.
Telling a story with pictures is much easier than describing ourselves as photographers. We photograph every day, as if our eyes had a built-in lens. That is why we cannot separate the person from the photographer. We photograph from the heart, with all that we are and want to be.
Photography is for us a way of exploring, seeing, living, smiling at everything that touches our soul. It's the books we read, the films we watch, the people we meet and love.
So we seek for emotions, expressions, connections, everything that gives us a chill on our skin. Whether it's a smile, a glance, a tear, a touch, a breath. Capturing the details and the in-betweens.
We photograph the invisible to the eye and give memories, stories, your story.
In fact, we photograph as if it were for us. And when it is, magic happens.
